Dimples Highchair Buying Guide
Choosing the Right Highchair for Your BabyΒ π½οΈ When it comes time to start solids, your baby deserves only the best. A good highchair should be safe, ergonomic, and built to last β not just through the puree phase, but right through toddlerhood and beyond. One key feature to look for? A footrest. It might seem minor, but it plays a big role in supporting healthy hip development. Paediatricians note that having stable foot support helps babies build motor skills, which leads to better eating, improved concentration, and less fidgeting at mealtimes (win-win). At Dimples, we offer a carefully chosen range of highchairs that are beautifully designed and built with your babyβs comfort in mind. Here are some of our favourites: Stokke Tripp Trapp A timeless classic that grows with your child. The Stokke Tripp Trapp is fully adjustable, with height and depth settings on both the seat and footrest, so you can tailor the fit as your little one grows. The Tripp Trapp has two attachments available (see more on these below), so you can use the chair from birth - all the way through to adulthood! Designed to sit right up at the table, the Tripp Trapp helps make mealtimes feel like a family occasion, right from the start. It comes in a beautiful range of colours to match any home. Age range: From birth with newborn set; from 6 months with the baby set Weight limit: Up to 136 kg Tripp Trapp Newborn Set Suitable from birth up to 9 kg, the Newborn Set lifts your baby up to table height and surrounds them in a soft, nest-like seat. With two adjustable angles, great leg support, and a secure five-point harness, itβs perfect for safe and cozy bonding during mealtimes or family chats. Age range: 0β6 months (approx.) Weight limit: 9 kg Tripp Trapp Baby Set Once baby is ready to start solids, the Baby Set provides the right amount of support with a high backrest and secure harness. Add the Tripp Trapp Tray and Cushion for a complete mealtime setup thatβs both practical and stylish. The cushions come in a range of lovely patterns to complement your kitchen dΓ©cor. Age range: From 6β36 months (when baby can sit unaided) Weight limit: Up to 15 kg Stokke Nomi Highchair Designed by the same creator as the Tripp Trapp, the Stokke Nomi brings a modern twist to ergonomic seating. Lightweight yet incredibly sturdy, this highchair supports your baby from newborn through to adulthood. The flowing design offers excellent freedom of movement and encourages active sitting β important for developing posture and coordination. The footrest is easily adjustable without tools, and the chair's curved edges and organic shape make it a standout in any dining space. Age range: From birth with the Nomi Baby Set; from 6 months as a highchair Weight limit: Up to 150 kg Stokke Clikk Highchair Minimalist, modern, and made to make life easier. The Stokke Clikk arrives in one compact box and clicks together in minutes β no tools required. It includes everything you need: seat, tray, footrest, and harness. The ergonomic design supports your babyβs hips and posture, and the tray is dishwasher-safe for fuss-free clean-up. Add the Clikk Cushion for extra comfort, or get the Travel Bag if youβre heading away. Light, durable, and practical β this oneβs a winner for home or holidays. Bath Time With Baby - The Essentials
Bath Time with Baby π Bath time can be one of the sweetest parts of your day with baby. The warmth of the water, the calm rhythm of washing, and the giggles that follow all help to build those special moments of connection. Most little ones love the gentle splash of bath time, but if your baby isnβt quite a fan at first, donβt worry β it can take time. π§ Thereβs no need to bathe baby every day β on quieter days, a quick top and tail (hands, face, and bottom) is enough to keep them feeling fresh. But when it is bath night, having everything ready can make all the difference. We recommend setting out your essentials beforehand: baby soap, a gentle shampoo, a soft flannel, and post-bath must-haves like a fluffy towel, a nappy, and clean clothes. πΆ Skip the jewellery during bath time to avoid any accidental scratches. And always check the water temperature before placing baby in the bath. The Shnuggle Pebbly Bath Thermometer lights up to let you know when the waterβs just right β no guesswork needed. If you donβt have one handy, test the water with the inside of your wrist β it should feel warm, not hot. π‘οΈ π₯ New to bathing your baby? Trouble sleeping? Finding The Right Sleep Aid
Sleep Struggles? These Soothers Might Just Save Your Sanity π΄ White noise and gentle sound machines help to mask the everyday background noise that can disturb your little one's rest. Think: older siblings, barking dogs, or the neighbour deciding nowβs the time to mow the lawn. These soothing sounds - like a heartbeat, waves, or soft shushing - can create a more consistent, calming sleep environment and help baby settle more easily. Darkness can make a big difference too. A dark room helps reduce visual stimulation and can support your babyβs natural sleep cues, which is especially handy for daytime naps, early bedtimes and those bright summer evenings. If light is sneaking in around curtains or youβre sleeping somewhere unfamiliar, a portable blackout blind can help create a darker, more consistent sleep space wherever you are. Weβve curated a handy Quiz to help you make a decision, plus a small but mighty collection of trusted sleep soothers and calming aids below, that can help take the edge off bedtime - for both you and your baby. Love to Dream Sleep Machine Creating a familiar, calming sound environment is a great way to help signal to baby that itβs time to sleep. The Love to Dream Sleep Machine offers nine soothing sounds, including white, pink and brown noise, rain, shushing and womb sounds, helping to mask everyday household noises that might otherwise disturb naps or nighttime sleep. It even has a clever cry detection feature which automatically starts your chosen sound if baby stirs! It's got a soft red and warm white nightlight function which is super handy for those 3am feeds and changes. Being rechargeable with up to 22 hours of battery life it's perfect for travelling moments too!Β YogaSleep Nod Sound Machine and Night Light The YogaSleep Nod is the ultimate stay-at-home sleep station, perfect for setting up a consistent, calming bedtime routine in the nursery. It features 20 sleep sounds, including white noise, fan sounds, lullabies, and nature tracks, so you can tailor the soundscape to your babyβs preferences. What makes it a standout? The built-in nightlight, which emits a warm amber glow to create a peaceful sleep space without overstimulating your baby. You can also set sleep timers or run it all night long, ideal for little ones who are easily stirred. Simple, soothing, and super customisable, the Nod helps create the kind of sleep environment youβll both appreciate. Purflo Total Blackout Blinds Light can make a huge difference to how easily your baby settles, especially for daytime naps, early bedtimes or those bright summer evenings. The Purflo Total Eclipse Portable Blackout Blind helps create a dark, calming sleep environment by blocking out unwanted light, making it easier to keep babyβs sleep space feeling consistent. It easily attaches securely to windows using over 100 suction cups and can be adjusted to suit smaller windows, so itβs handy at home as well as when travelling or staying with family. Even better, it folds neatly into its own storage pocket, making it an easy sleep essential to have on hand. Storytime and Soothing Light for Sweet Dreams Another beautiful way to support your childβs sleep is by building a calming, familiar bedtime routine - and the CloudBoxβ’ helps make that easy. This clever little device plays comforting bedtime stories while gently projecting sleepy visuals onto the ceiling or wall. With a soothing mix of audio and light, it creates a multisensory environment that helps children wind down at the end of the day. You can choose from the preloaded stories or record your own β a lovely way to keep bedtime personal, even when you canβt be there in person. Repeating the same story or image each night can become part of your childβs sleep ritual, providing a sense of security and consistency they can count on. Simple to use and designed for children from birth and up, the CloudBoxβ’ is a thoughtful addition to any nighttime routine β helping little ones feel calm, safe, and ready for sleep. Supporting Sleep, Naturally For many families,Β Magnesium Rescue has become a much loved part of their wind-down ritual. This gentle, topical formula is made from natural ingredients and can be massaged into your childβs back, tummy, or feet at bedtime. Itβs designed to help support a relaxed nervous system β a simple, non-invasive way to encourage calm before sleep. Another lovely option is the Bedtime Bestie - a lightweight magnesium mist infused with calming lavender, designed to support relaxation and make bedtime a little easier. Simply spritz it onto your childβs back or feet as part of your evening routine. Itβs a fuss-free way to help little bodies and busy minds slow down β one small spray at a time.
